"I came here, a penniless former player at the age of 36, and after four seasons here, we are still in the same league.
For some that is a failure, because I joined this club in 3rd place in this league. In my first season, we finished 3rd. But
you have to remember that this team is a completely different one to that I inherited from the previous manager. So to be
acheiving 6th place in this league is, for me, a success.
Now that the season is over, I can look back and see where we need to improve, and I must comment on the fact that our
midfield has seen better days. With our captain, Callow, nearing retirement, and Ismail not settled yet, our two wings have
failed us this season, but this is something we can fix. The team has the money in the bank to improve, and with any luck,
the competition might be easier next season.
I wish to thank the players for their hard work this season, I realise the relegation zone is not somewhere they want
to be. And I also thank my back room staff, I know they're a bit thin on the ground, but with the new funds, we
can afford to hire some more and also restart the youth accademy."
