Over half way through the season and
Rovers are 5th and have implimented a squad line-up change to climb the
table.
Manager Ashley Collins had this to say, "The new line-up means we can kick butt and climb the table and
solidate our place above the elite of our league, and maybe next season we can challenge for promotion."
Earlier in the season there had been talk of firing the gaffer, after a poor run of results left the team
in the relegation zone. But Ashley Collins has turned it around, the team are now safe from relegation and the club has over
£150,000 in the bank to bring new blood in for next season.
Asked on what he thought had caused the early failure this season, Ashley Collins said that 'crap new signings'
and 'old codger players' were to blame.
In other news, Leandro dos Anjos, the veteran defender at Rovers has been sold to Olympique
Sheffield to make room for some new signings. Leandro said he was 'sad to be going, but understood the gaffer's decision'.
